Project Cargo
Project Cargo is an umbrella term for the transportation, installation, and management of hefty and oversized items, the standardized weight of which is deemed to be over a hundred tonnes with dimensions of over 100 metres. It is a complex and elaborate operation that requires skill and proficiency that very few possess. Not only the meticulous planning process, but project cargo logistics also demand creativity and trade acumen.
Yushi Limited is blessed with an excellent team of logistics experts who devise ingenious solutions for a varied range of industries and goods. These industries include construction, engineering, mining, etc. and goods include heavy-duty items like turbines, satellites, boilers, reactors, etc. Thus, we excel in dealing with any freight volume or cargo value that clients require. We are adept at carrying out such intricate operations on land (trucks), air (specialized cargo aircraft), sea (barges, heavy-lift ships), or rail.
Project cargo needs a structured mechanism in place. Every step needs to be mapped out in detail because the process involves a lot of variables, including several risk factors. Forethought is necessary to keep the entire operation within the client’s stipulated budget. We have a 100% success rate in well-organized handling and also in keeping the costs in check.
FCL ( FULL CONTAINER LOAD )
One of the most commonly used terms in worldwide logistics or the shipping industry is FCL or Full Container Load. It denotes a mode of shipment where the client’s cargo always occupies a full container. In other words, even if the container is not filled by the cargo, clients will have to pay for the rate of the entire shipping container. This is because the container space belongs to the shipper exclusively. In other words, a client does not share the container with other shippers.
FCL is more in vogue than its counterpart less than container load or LCL as it is a safer and easier option for clients transporting a big volume of goods. FCL has several advantages over LCL. A few of them have been enumerated below.
- FCL is safer as your goods do not come in contact with the freight of other shippers, thereby eliminating the risk of damage.
- FCL is faster than LCL because the cargo does not pass through so many hubs as it does in the case of the latter.
- FCL unit cost is cheaper than LCL.
Yushi Limited has deep-rooted connections at all the significant transport hubs keeping a close eye on the transit and providing live updates regarding its location and ETA.
LCL ( LESS THAN CONTAINER LOAD )
Less than container load or LCL is suited for transportation for smaller quantities of cargo, unlike FCL. The volume of such goods is not large enough to go for FCL. LCL describes a shipment that does not fill the entire container for one client. Thus, he has to share the container with multiple shippers. As a result, multiple shipments belonging to different clients travel together in the container to form one single shipment or ‘groupage.’
In the case of FCL, only one bill of lading existed as goods were owned by a single shipper.
Here, since there are multiple shippers, we have several bills of lading in place.
In the case of LCL, there is no fixed rate per container. Instead, the rate is based upon volume. LCL is a cheaper solution when it comes to small-scale shipments. But, unlike FCL that is directly unloaded at the point of consumption, LCL shipments have to go through more transport hubs accumulating several destination fees like import processing fees, due agent fees, etc. that increase the shipping costs.
Yushi Limited ensures streamlined operations by packaging the goods carefully to circumvent the higher risk of damage and also provisions for effective inventory management.

Logistics is a parasol term that consists of several processes starting from the manufacturing of goods to consumption of the same.
